This year the Bungay summer series returns but with only 2 races in the scenic rural lands surrounding Bungay in Suffolk. Its a relatively flat, on road course with the last 3Km taking place on forest track and finishing on the grass track at the Black Dog Running Club. The facilities are available but saying they are good would be charitable. they’re more of a festival feel than pristine percaline, however the marshalling and water stations for these mid-week evening races are good.

The Medal
Unfortunately it looks like the black dogs are going the direction so many others have recently, this medal is large and made from wood and laser engraved dogs flanking the race name and date. whilst this is a more Eco friendly offering it doesn’t have the same prestige and sense of value that other medals do.
| Weight | 37g |
| Dimensions | 79mm x 79mm |
| Material | Wood |
the ribbon is extremely lightweight, plastic, and creases easily but does have the race and club name printed on it.
Overall I rate this medal 3/10
Wooden medals may be more Eco friendly, but it fails to translate the effort expended in earning them into a real feeling of award when paired with a poor quality ribbon.
