The Bungay Festival of Running Half marathon organised by the Bungay Black Dog Running Club takes place in Suffolk along the boarder with Norfolk taking in idyllic views on a mostly flat course
The Medal
The Black Dogs set themselves apart from the rest of the pack when it comes to medals, they cast aside the usual metal medals for a distinctive black slate medal, laser engraved with their iconic logo, distance and date, whilst certainly striking these medals are easily damaged and chipped.

Unfortunately, the downfall of this medal (as with so many others) is the ribbon. Its extremely lightweight, plastic, and creases easily. It riveted to the pendant; I appreciate that when working with slate it becomes more complicated to mount the ribbon, but this solution really ruins the aesthetic on closer inspection.
Overall i rate this medal 4/10
I like the flare in breaking from the norm, but it could have been done better with a higher quality ribbon.
