The Breckland 10k organised by Thetford AC and is run on roads through forest, it is a single lap fast course with little elevation and a good atmosphere, however the roads are open and the finish line when i crossed it had car traffic nearly blocking my finish.
The Medal
This is a wooden medal is a decent size, made from laser cut ply in the shape of a crown to commemorate the coronation of the king. whilst this is a more Eco friendly offering it doesn’t have the same prestige and sense of value that other medals do.
| Weight | 28g |
| Dimensions | 81mm x 74mm |
| Material | Plyboard |
the ribbon is extremely lightweight, plastic, and creases easily but does have the race and club name printed on it.
Overall I rate this medal 3/10
Wooden medals may be more Eco friendly, but it fails to translate the effort expended in earning them into a real feeling of award when paired with a poor quality ribbon.
