The 3 x 5 mile series organised by Great Yarmouth Road Runners is a 2 lap flat and fast race along the beach front, entirely on paved surface making this race a prime PB course, runners take in the sights and sounds of Yarmouth including the pleasure beach, boating lake and the course for one the England’s hardest Parkruns – Great Yarmouth North Beach, Support from the public and marshals is great with music and cheering when you really need it.
Due to the Norfolk Marathon I missed the first race, so thanks to Jo for lending me her race 1 medal for the review!

The Medal
The medal is made from metal and depicts a pair of runners in silhouette surrounded with a polished ring with the race name and race number, colour in the runners and lettering is provided by enamel in a patriotic red white and blue per medal. The quality is good as is the size and weight.
| Weight | 49g |
| Dimensions | 71mm Dia. |
| Material | Metal and enamel |
The ribbon is good quality, soft and silky fabric with the colour matching the medal but is devoid of any further customisation. The ends of the ribbon are heat fused together, meaning no stitching to fray or intrude on the look.
Overall I rate this medal 6/10.
This race series has serious competition from itself when it comes to medals, as last year they made my shortlist for medal of the year, unfortunately the standard has slipped and whilst the design and quality is good, It lacks the wow factor of last year for a more simplistic look.
